Wes Going Off

If Wes Welker is trying to end his tenure with the Pats, he is doing a very good job with his most recent dig at Coach Belichick. His comment of "Sticking it in Bill's face" was a direct shot at Belichick. Others have done this. Ty Law, Lawyer Milloy, Richard Seymour, Mike Vrabel and a host of others locked horns with Belichick and went public with their comments. They were all released or traded.

To make matters worse, owner Robert Kraft was miffed back in training camp about the inability to sign Welker to a long term deal. He said the team tried its best to work a deal with Welker, but the sides could not agree.

Is Welker in the dog house? It seem to be with his lack of playing time initially, but injuries have forced the team to use him more. Will Belichick respond to Welker by not starting him on Sunday against Seattle?

This whole thing looks bad for Welker's long term future with the team. It will come down to money in the end. They need his play, but they will only pay him so much. His comments are not helping the situation.
