Just Let Them Bet

It's amazing to see all of the legal gambling possibilities on the Super Bowl. There are so many bets available.

States should realize that there is money to be made from legalized sports gambling. It's hard to understand why so many are slow to embrace this.

It's all abut the money in the end.

How To Get Fired

It appears that allegations of Tom Brady being a cheater will follow him forever no matter what he does.

An employee of a Pittsburgh television station was fired for posting a live graphic calling out Brady for cheating.

Fans around the nation hate the Pats because they win so much.

Many of these people keep saying the same boring things.

Adam Again

Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri plans to return for his 24th season after having another productive year.

If he makes it through the season, he will be only the third player in NFL history to be active at 47. He will join George Blanda and Gary Anderson in this small club.

Vinatieri continues to add to his many career records. Will anyone ever break them?

Brady Keeping It Going

Hopefully, Tom Brady has silenced all the questions about his playing future. He has no plans to retire.

These stories always develop a life and stay in the news cycle.

The same goes for the future of Rob Gronkowski.

On This Day

It was 19 years ago today that Bill Belichick became head coach of the Pats after a one day stint with the Jets.

Both teams were never the same after that. The Pats are headed to their ninth Super Bowl during Belichick's tenure, while the Jets recently marked their 50 year anniversary of Super Bowl III.

Andy's Time

UMass WR Andy Isabella had a great game at the Senior Bowl. He has caught the attention of the Jets in particular.

Where will he get drafted? So many great players will go before him.

Critics call him small, but he plays large and fast.

Pair of Jets Might Not Fly

It's always better if a head coach can select his own staff, but ownership often gets involved. This doesn't always have great results.

Jets coach Adam Gase didn't pick Gregg Williams to be his defensive coordinator. Both have very strong personalities.

Fans and writers question whether it will work. Given the history of the Jets, it's hard to be optimistic.

This might be a two year experiment that ends in failure.

A Really Bad Decision

The Pro Bowl is suppose to be a fun time for players and fans. Jets safety Jamal Adams used very poor judgment when he decided to tackle the mascot of the Pats.

It looks like he hit him pretty hard, resulting in a hospitalization for the mascot.

Adams said it was done in fun, but what was he thinking?

Jerry Calls The Shots

Cowboys WR Cole Beasley went on social media to say how disappointed he was in the way the team used him this season.

He will be a free agent and gave a blistering attack on the front office for dictating who gets the ball.

The front office implies GM Jerry Jones who is deeply involved in many decisions.

I'm sure Jones has a reason on why Beasley rarely got the ball. It might be a moot point as he will most likely end up with another team.

One More Time

it has been a great journey to get to the Super Bowl one more time and play the last game of the season.

Who knows how it will end? We are so blessed to be here one more time.

One More Game

Robert Kraft bought the Pats 25 years ago today. What a journey it has been.

The team lives on to play in another Super Bowl.

The Unforgetable Game

By 10pm, we will know if the Pats are going to the Super Bowl. It should be a great game against the Chiefs.

There is big concern by some who feel the Pats can't win on the road. Their 3-5 record for away games got them into this position.

The crazy ending to the Dolphins game helped give the Chiefs the #1 seed in the AFC.

Sports talk shows are already blaming any loss on the fiasco in Miami.

It's Their Moment

So many players never get to the playoffs. Jason McCourty will be playing in his first game after ten seasons. Hall of Fame QB Dan Marino went to the Super Bowl with the Dolphins when he was 23, but never made it back.

Rams DL Ndamukong of the Rams is playing in his first NFC Championship game after numerous Pro Bowls and All-Pro selections.

Players need to embrace the moment because they might never have it again.

Best Game Of The Seson

In a matter of 48 hours, the Pats season will end or have one more game in the Super Bowl.

It's so exciting to get to this point. All you can ever hope as a fan is to have a game like this.

Reaching Out To The Young

College recruitment can get really crazy at times. Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh brought absurdity to a new level when he offered a full scholarship to a 13 year old in the 7th grade.

After watching the kid on film, the coach decided that he could use this quarterback in the future.

As good as he is, a lot could change for him by the time he graduates from high school.

Lot of Points on Sunday

The Chiefs are favored by three points when they host the Pats for the AFC Championship Game on Sunday. Las Vegas oddsmakers always give the home team three points. This is a very even game.

I never bet, but the over and under of 57 is very interesting.

This game should have a lot of offense. The Pats need to keep the point total under 57 or they are in a big fight.

The Real All-Star Team

The selection of players to the Pro Bowl could be a lot better. Getting fans involved in the voting process only messes it up further.

The real indicator is the All-Pro team, selected by members of the media.

There is a big difference in the rosters. The All-Pro team has 28 members while the Pro Bowl has 86.

It's hard to believe that six All-Pro players didn't make it on the Pro Bowl roster. That is crazy and shows a flaw in the process.

Brady Forever

Some of Tom Brady's records may never be broken. It's hard to believe that this will be his 8th consecutive AFC Championship game with the same team, coach and owner.

He has also made the playoffs in 16 of the last 17 seasons he has played.

Who will ever surpass this?

Last Home Game of the 2018 Season

No matter what happens today, the Pats are playing their last game of the season at Gillette Stadium. If they beat the Chargers, they will travel to Kansas City to play the Chiefs.

Is this the final game for Gronk? It will be for other players. The roster will be different next year. It happens to every team.

Saturday, January 12, 2019

The Best of 2018

Are fans worried about the game with the Chargers? If the Pats don't win, they have no chance of traveling to Kansas City for the AFC Championship game.

The season could end tomorrow. Who knows how the game will end.

These are the games you always want as a fan.

Friday, January 11, 2019

Is It The Last Game of the Season?

Pats fans should never think that the game against the Chargers will be a win. It's very easy for the Pats to lose this game if they don't play well.

You can look at the Vegas line and the over and under, but it doesn't really matter as far as winning the game for the Pats.

The AFC Championship game is on the line.

Jets Helping The Pats

It took the Jets ten days before they found their new head coach in Adam Gase who was recently fired by the Dolphins after three losing seasons.

His expertise as a quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator is seen as a positive point for the development of QB Sam Darnold.

Fans have not embraced this decision. It will be a continuation of their "No Ring Circus" and a big help to the Pats.

Staying For Now

Pats offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels said that he is done with head coaching interviews and will stay with the team. This was after he met with the Packers for their vacant job.

He is better off where he is and has great job security. The coaches being hired during this round will be looking for another job in 2-3 years.

He also gets to enjoy winning.

Future 2019 Picks

I really like the Clemson and Alabama rivalry for National Championships. They seem to own the show and not let anyone else in.

Is that because they are so much better than everyone else? They get the best recruits, but they still need to play and win the games.

So many of these guys will get drafted by the NFL. They will have varying degrees of success.

Monday, January 7, 2019

Cody's Last Kick

Bears kicker Cody Parkey will be forever known by Chicago fans for his missed potentially winning field goal attempt in his team's loss to the Eagles in the Wild card game yesterday.

His season has been a nightmare of 11 missed field goal opportunities with a success rate of 76%.

This was not the only reason why the Bears lost, but it's the only play that will be remembered because it was the last one of the season.

Will he ever kick again in the NFL?

Chargers Time

The Pats play the Chargers next Sunday with the winner going to the AFC Championship game. It should be a great contest. We were told by experts that the worst scenario would have been to play the Ravens.

Let's see how this works out. The Chargers played well today.

Saturday, January 5, 2019

Cowboys Now

The Cowboys won a playoff game and will move on.

It's a one game season for everyone.

Jerry Jones got them there.

Brown Not Long

It's very unfortunate that things have unraveled with WR Antonio Brown and the Steelers. Things are really bad with him and the team.

They missed the playoffs and he was a distraction throughout the season. It's a shame because he is such a brilliant player.

The Steelers should just release him and take a $22 million salary cap hit. He will get his money. It's hard to believe that all parties could come together again.

It's probably a good idea that they never gave into the contract demands of LeVeon Bell.

Thursday, January 3, 2019

Maybe Lamar

When the Pats brought in QB Lamar Jackson prior to the 2018 NFL draft, many thought the team would select him. He ended up with the Ravens and has enjoyed great success.

If the Pats end up playing the Ravens, at least Coach Belichick would have met with Lamar and picked his brain.

It may or may not help, but it was a good idea.

Wednesday, January 2, 2019

Rex For Miami

There is speculation that Rex Ryan might be in the running for the head coaching job at the University of Miami.

Former Hurricane players have some input in the final selection. Ryan coached Ed Reed and Ray Lewis when he was with the Ravens.

I think Rex would be a great fit for the college game. He needs to be coaching again. He would bring a lot of excitement and buzz to the program.

Mayock Gets His Job

Mike Mayock is finally getting his chance to be a GM after he was hired by the Raiders. He will work with Coach Jon Gruden with the goal of building a championship team.

He has excelled with the NFL Network as their college draft expert, but was looking for a front office job in the NFL.

it seems like a great match with Gruden who just finished the first year of his 10 year/$100 million contract. Both of them should have job security.
