Seatle Times

The game on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks has produced a great deal of side drama because of the story line of Pete Carroll. There has been a lot of interesting conversation on talk radio about it. Bob Kraft seem to put his on spin on it during a Boston Globe story where he reflected about who should have control over personnel decisions on the team.

There seems to be a blur about the transition from the Pete Carroll era to Belichick. Several personnel people, including Bobby Grier, were held over until the following year. It seems like everyone wants to grab a bit of the credit for drafting Tom Brady.

Who was making the decisions back then? You get several different stories. Belichick will certainly never comment. If they ask him next Monday, he will only be concerned about getting ready for the New York Jets.
