No Job Security

The head coaching selection process in the NFL gets really crazy. So many candidates are just be recycled between teams. Some of the more favored candidates such as Chip Kelley, Bill O'Brien and Josh McDaniels have chosen to remain with their teams. You can't blame them as some of the opening are destined to be bad teams for the next few years.

It seems like nothing will ever get better in Buffalo or Cleveland. They hire and fire their coaches on a regular basis. The Eagles will probably end up with their 5th choice as their final selection by the time they decide.

It's easy to see why some coaches decide to stay at the same place. There is no job stability in the NFL. I feel bad for the assistant coaches who are impacted whenever a new head coach is selected. They know the process when they sign up to do this for a carer, but it's never easy.
