Mike Beng Mike

Leave it to Coach Mike Shanahan of the Redskins to kill their chances of advancing in the playoffs. He made it worse with the way the team handled the knee injury of QB Robert Griffin III.

There was a story in USA Today quoting Dr James Andrews about how the team handled RJIII's first knee injury on Dec 9th. Coach Mike Shanahan insists that Dr Andrews cleared RJIII to return to the game. There is a big dispute over who said what.

In light of what happened to RGIII in the loss today, there will be a great deal of second guessing as to why he was even allowed to be on the field.  He was very ineffective in the offense.

The grotesque twisting of his knee late in the game can only make things worse. Hopefully, he didn't do any long term damage. I have no doubt that we will soon hear that he is going into surgery from an ACL or MCL or a little bit of everything.

I have no doubt that we will be listening to a blame game story over the treatment of RJIII.
