First Round Project
Every team signs free agents who end up becoming some type of reclamation project. In many instances, they end up being practice players at training camp without much of a chance of making the final roster. The Pats have one with WR Michael Jenkins.
He was a first round draft pick of the Atlanta Falcons in 2004, but has never lived up to his pre-draft hype. He spent the last two seasons with the Minnesota Vikings where he had 40 catches for 449 yards during the 2012 season.
Perhaps, the change might make a difference for him, but he could end up getting caught in a numbers game with the Pats. He could last until the final cut of training camp, but I don't think he will make the team.
