A Taste of Honey

The NFL draft "experts" have certainly created their own job security. Many fans wait with great anticipation to read the latest comments from a slew of "experts". Unfortunately, they are not always right. Their words can impact where a player gets selected.

We are seeing that with former LSU defensive back Tyrann Mathieu. "Honey Badger" was a Heisman Trophy contender just two seasons ago, but didn't play last year because he was kicked off the team for using marijuana. A subsequent arrest and rehab stint did not endear him to a lot of NFL teams.

He was considered first round material at one point. Now, he has dropped to the third or fourth round according to those in the know. Where will be end up?

He won't be the only player in this predicament. A few years ago, TE Aaron Hernandez dropped to the fourth round because of issues of the field. He turned out to be a pretty good selection by the Pats.
