Danny Woodhead Moving On

I never thought the Pats would make any attempt to keep Danny Woodhead on the roster. I'm so glad he was able to get a two year contract with the San Diego Chargers. He was a fan favorite here since 2010. It was a joy to watch him for the last three years.

His size defied the odds to make it to the NFL. He wasn't invited to the 2008 Scouting Combine and went undrafted. The Jets picked him up, but he got injured early and ended up on IR.When they cut him in 2010, the Pats jumped on him.

Last year, he played in 34% of the offensive snaps. He carried the ball 76 times for 301 yards and 4 TD's. He caught 40 balls for 446 years and 3 TD's. His plays were always big ones. He was able to get long yardage on third downs conversions.

He will continue in a similar 3rd down role with the Chargers. They have a good player now with him. I hope he does well.
