The Injury Bug

As the pre-season schedule rolls along, we are hearing very little about the idea of playing 18 regular season games. Teams are already getting hit hard by injuries from the games. Some players have already been lost for the season. No team seems to make it to the start of the season without someone going on IR. The Pats already lost LB Dane Fletcher when he was hurt in the first pre-season game.

Player safety is a huge concern in the league. Coaches agree that the pre-season games are needed to evaluate players. It's a shame that some never make it to the start of the season. Once the season starts, it becomes one continuous train wreck week after week. The healthiest team in December has the best chance in the playoffs.
