Rolling The Dice For Two

Fans will be holding the feet of the New York Jets to the fire when the annual draft starts on Thursday. Newly hired GM John Izdak has the 9th and 13th selections in the first round after trading CB Darrelle Revis to Tampa Bay.

The Jets have many needs to fill after shaking up their roster. Coach Rex Ryan has two years left on his contract and is on a very short leash. Owner Woody Johnson continues to fret about the sale of Personal Seat Licenses while loyal Jet fans are viewing a mediocre product on the field.

The draft is very inexact for all teams. First round picks fail as often as late round ones. The Jets need to come up big with their selections. In the end, they will roll the dice like all the other teams.
