Action At USC

Tom Brady was seen at the USC football practice field tossing passes to WR Danny Amendola. It was expected that any news involving Brady would be a big story. Watching it all was USC receivers coach Tee Martin. That doesn't sound like much until you realize that Martin was one of the six quarterbacks taken before Tom Brady in the 2000 NFL draft.

Martin was the back-up to Peyton Manning at the University of Tennessee during his freshman and sophomore years. He lead the team to a national championship during his junior year and another BSC appearance as a senior. He was drafted in the 5th round by the Pittsburgh Steelers. His mediocre NFL career ended in 2004 with the Oakland Raiders.

Also drawing attention was Terrell Owens who was on the receiving end for some of Brady's passes. At the age of 39, T.O. looks like he could still play, but has been out of the NFL for the last two season. That does not bode well for the league's second all-time receiver in yards with 15,934. Teams are not pursuing him, but at least he got a mention in the news.
