Tom Brady certainly ratcheted up the Pats and Jets rivalry when he made his comments about HBO's "Hard Knocks" featuring the Jets. It bordered on trash talking when he spoke of his hatred of the Gang Green.
Naturally, Coach Rex Ryan had a response. He cited his twin brother Rex who won two Super Bowl rings with the Pats while a defensive coach. Rex has no love for the Brady & Co. although he "respects" Tom.
With three weeks to go before they play the Jets in their second game, the hype is going to get bigger. Coach Belichick is only focused for the opening game against the Bengals, but he will never tell Brady what to say.
When asked about whether he had seen the show, Belichick praised the people from NFL Films, the ones behind "Hard Knocks". He said that all of the shows are good although he didn't know when "Hard Knocks" was on.
