The NFL Network has so many great programs. They did a great story about Brett Favre's career. They can make a great argument that he was a great quarterback with such a long career and so many records.
The longer he played, the more he added to his legacy. He was also being paid a lot of money. During the last three years of his career he bounced around between the Jets and the Vikings, but he was paid about $30-40 million during that time.
That is reason enough to do whatever it takes to keep on playing . I think he would have played longer if he could, but it comes to an end for everyone in the NFL at some point.
