Can We Talk On Thursday?

The NFL labor dispute will head in a different direction on Thursday. The owners and players will be meeting with the federal judge who is hearing the case. She has taken the player's request for an injunction under advisement. That could take two weeks. Meanwhile, she wants the two sides to meet.

The mediated talks are a great way to get things going again. If the players win the injunction, the owners could take about two months to exhaust all legal appeals. That could really threaten the season.

We shall see what happens on Thursday.
