The Brady 6

The NFL Network has outstanding programming. One of my favorites is "The Brady 6" which details the story of the six quarterbacks drafted ahead of Tom Brady in 2000.

The story is a great reminder of the inexact process of the NFL draft. None of the six had any resemblance to the success that Brady had. Some had very short careers.

So many first round picks fizzle out. Careers never live up to the pre-draft hype. There are players right now waiting for their name to be called in the draft. For some, the call will never come. Others will be drafted way too early, later than expected or not at all. It happens every year.
