Everyone Makes Mistakes

Every team makes mistakes with free agency signings. The Pats are no exception. They made their share of mistakes with Chad Johnson, Albert Haynesworth and a host of others. They were reckless with those two contracts in particular. It impacted their salary cap.

Having the "win for today" attitude can cause teams to have future cap problems. The Pats seem to avoid this for the most part and continue to have success.

Going to the AFC Championship game for the last three years is a good indication that something is going right.
