As the NFL approaches free agency, many teams and fans feel that shuffling the deck will lead to success and championships. Teams will squander money on players who they will cut after next season. There is no formula to ensure good signings.

I saw a statistic that said it all. There were no free agents last year who signed with a new team who made the top ten in the following categories: passing, rushing, or receiving yards as well as interceptions.

Finding one player who can change a team is elusive.
