Pre-season Game 4

Tonight will be the last chance for some players to make the Pats roster. It's the same all around the NFL. The recent cuts on Tuesday released a total of 480 players around the league. By Saturday, that number will total 1,134.

About 200 of them will find a spot on a team's practice squad. The rest will be hoping for a call. Some are veterans who have been in the league for a long time while others are rookies who dream about being on a roster.

"Street" players get signed throughout the season because of injuries. One player's misfortunate becomes an opportunity for others. Some will need to look at pursuing another career. Their football days will be over.
