The First Bubble

Every team around the league faces the same decisions as the Pats on their roster. Some player's fate will be determined by salary cap and contract implications.

Dan Connolly is a great example. He was rated as the 67th best guard of 81 across the league. Although he has started 58 games over the last four seasons, he will turn 32 in September and carries a $4.1 million salary cap hit.

The team drafted a couple of linemen and have free agents in camp. Connolly is already on the "bubble".
