Calling Mr Jones

If the Pats plan to keep three tight ends on the roster, they may have found their player in Justin Jones who was undrafted out of East Carolina.

He has immense size at 6'8", 275 pounds. He caught the eye of Coach Belichick who probably liked the fact that he was a great basketball player in high school.

Jones didn't put up huge numbers in college, with only 52 receptions and 12 TD's over three seasons. He missed the 2011 season because of injuries and was academically ineligible for 2013.

Belichick reached out to him on draft day, but the team never selected him. They jumped at the chance to sign him as an undrafted free agent.
