Not Bowl Bound

It has been a rough season for UMass football with their attempt to become a Division 1 power. Their inaugural season has them at 0-9, including 0-5 in the Mid-American Conference. They have three games left to salvage their season.

Today might be their best hope when the play 1-9 Akron. Both teams have seen their season implode. UMass has been outscored 188-21 in their last four games.Attendance at Gillette stadium has been less than expected. It looks pretty empty when you have 10,000 fans in a 68,000 seat arena.

I plan to attend the last two games of the season. Hopefully, they can get to 3-9. If they can ever have a 7-5 season in the future, they will get a bowl bid. It just won't happen this year.
