Not Really Valid

I have my doubts about the validity of the Sporting News mid-season poll of NFL players. They reached out to 103 from 27 different teams. Players were told not to vote for anyone associated with their team. I assume they used the proper protocol to determine the correct sample size.

Rex Ryan won the vote for the most overrated head coach. That is no surprise, but it was to hear about Bill Belichick being ranked next. I find it hard to believe that he is viewed this way. The Pats were selected as the best organization. Isn't that a reflection of his effort as CEO of football?

Andy Reid, Mike Shanahan and 13 other coaches also received consideration. Who voted on this? What was their level of experience in the NFL? Many players have no clue of the game's history. They only know about the teams they are playing.
