With three games left in the season, three coaches have already been fired with the axe falling on Todd Haley, Tony Sparano and Jack DelRio. The end of the season will open the door for more to leave from teams with bad records
After the 2008 season, 11 coaches were fired. Several of those replacement coaches never made it past two seasons with the likes of Haley, Tom Cable, Mike Singletary, Eric Mangini, Josh Mc Daniels and Jim Mora.
It really emphasizes how unique the situation is in Foxborough where coach Belichick is wrapping up his 12 season with the team.
