Former Pats OL Billy Yates and WR Ray Ventrone were signed by the Cleveland Browns as free agents. Both players were released in the final roster cut. They had served as backups for starters and on Special Teams.
The signings are almost a no-brainer for the Browns as Coach Eric Mangini is familiar with both players from his time with the Pats as defensive coordinator. It's interesting to note that Ventrone has evolved from a safety to receiver.
