Damon Huard Again?

The "experts" are saying that QB A.J. Feeley of the Eagles will be cut and end up with the Pats. That might not be a bad choice, but Damon Huard has been released by the 49er's. The 13 year veteran played the last five seasons with Kansas City and saw considerable starting action. He just couldn't nail down the starting job.

Prior to that, he spent the 2001-03 seasons with the Pats where he served as Tom Brady's back-up. He left the team after the 2003 season because he had a chance at the big money and a starting job with the Chiefs. He also has served as Dan Marino's backup in Miami.

In Huard, the Pats would have a QB who is familiar with their system and a proven NFL veteran. I wouldn't be surprised if he had a visit to Gillette in the near future.
