Fans Rolling Their Eyes
Josh McCown will be turning 38 soon and has a career record of 18-42 as a starting quarterback, but managed to get a one year/$6 million contract with the Jets. It's heavy with incentives that could earn him up to $5 million if he guides them to the Super Bowl.
He is seen as a placeholder, but if he starts a game, he will be the 30th starting quarterback since Joe Namath left the team after the 1976 season.
He has lasted this long, in spite of being the rosters of seven other teams in his career. He must be doing something right.
