Against The Odds
Fans had reasons to doubt that the Pats could ever overcome the 25 point deficit they faced in Super Bowl LI. History was not in their favor.
According to the Elias Sports Bureau, NFL teams with a 25 or more point lead were 2,545-4-2 in regular season games and 102-2 in the playoffs.
The odds were so much against them, but the Pats pulled it off.
