Two Different Endings

There were so many great stories from the AFC Championship game yesterday. Some were not so good, especially for Billy Kundif of the Ravens. He missed a 32 yard field goal with 11seconds left which would have tied the game and sent it into overtime. Field goals are usually sure points for the most part, but in the biggest moment of his career, Kundif came up short.

He will be forever maligned by Ravens fans. All of his great career moments will be tarnished by this one play. If made the kick, the story has a different ending. Maybe the Ravens win the game in overtime.

Before this moment for Kundif, there was one for Sterling Moore. He deflected a TD pass to Ravens WR Lee Evans in the end zone which would have won the game. Evans had the ball in his arms and was trying to control it when Moore made a last effort to swat it away. Somehow, the ball fell to the ground and everything was set up for Kundif to tie the game.

Two players with two stories and such different endings. Sterling Moore can live off this play for the rest of his career. Kundif will need to keep a low profile. The game can be very cruel at times.
