Coach Belichick has often said the final 45 man game day roster is determined that day. It's all about selecting the 45 players who give the team the best chance to win that game.
I wonder where this leave RB Kevin Faulk. He gave a heartfelt statement during the public sendoff of the at Gillette Stadium this morning. He said he came back this season for one more chance to get to the Super Bowl and win a championship.
The end of Faulk's career is on the doorstep. The 12 year veteran signed a one year contract for $910,000. He was coming off a devastating ACL injury at 34. He is ancient by NFL standards.
It has been a great ride for him. I wonder what his future is. Will he be on the game day roster? I hope he is for one last time. He played the game with great passion.
