DL Mike Wright has missed the entire season because of concussion related symptoms. His playing future is under a dark cloud. Lost in all of the excitement last week were the concussions suffered by Aaron Hernandez and Nate Solder.
Both were listed as having head injuries. Will they be cleared to play after complying with the new concussion protocols? There must be a certain degree of pressure to get these players back on the field. Both of them are key members of the offense. The role of Hernandez in the win over the Broncos cannot be minimized.
Wright stated off with one concussion and then had another. It mushroomed to a major problem. I hope the same doesn't happen for Hernandez or Solder. I'm sure they have experienced them in the past. It almost seems like it's the price for playing this game.
