Suit Didn't Fit
It sounded like a good idea when a lawyer from Maine filed a federal lawsuit against the NFL on behalf of Pats fans in an attempt to recoup the team's first round draft pick. The Commissioner stripped the team of their pick as a result of Deflategate.
Team owner Robert Kraft was mentioned as a defendant because he didn't do enough to get the pick back. The lawyer cited it as a violation of consumer protection laws.
The lawsuit was dead on arrival. A judge dismissed it and may look into whether the attorney should be cited for filing a frivolous lawsuit.
