Not The Best Picks

If the Pats select a receiver in this year's draft, it's pretty certain that the player won't have much of an impact on the team. They have not had much success in drafting at that position during the Belichick era other than Deion Branch, David Givens and Julian Edelman.

Bethel Johnson, Chad Jackson, Brandon Tate, Aaron Dobson and Josh Boyce played for a couple of seasons. We have the forgettable ones like P.K. Sam, Taylor Price, Jeremy Ebert and Jeremy Gallon.

They will probably select someone, but don't look for them to be a star.
