Capping The Bowls
College football bowl games exist because they make money for the team involved and television networks. There are too many games and not enough of good teams.
The NCAA will prohibit any new games for the next three years. The 40 bowl games last season featured some teams with mediocre records, including three that were 5-7.
It doesn't make any sense having teams with losing records.
