Jaylon Smith

It's easy to see why players leave college early for the NFL draft. A sudden injury can cost them financially as they drop in the draft order.

Notre Dame LB Jaylon Smith is a classic example. He was seen as a possible Top 5 pick, but  ended up tearing his ACL and MCL during the Fiesta Bowl against Ohio State.

It was recently discovered that he had nerve damage and might need to sit out the 2016 season. This could cost him millions. It remains to be seen if he will ever be the same player.
