A Second Round Pick Wasted

The NFL draft is never perfect. Where a player is selected doesn't guarantee future success. Early round picks fail just like 7th rounders. WR Titus Young is a great example.

He was selected in the 2011 draft by the Detroit Lions in the 2nd round and 44th overall. He left Boise State a year early for the draft.

His first two seasons were productive with 81 catches for 990 yards and two TD's. However, his activites off the field proved to his undoing. He has been arrested three times in the past week. It started last Sunday when he was arrested for possible OUI in Riverside County, California. He was arrested the next day for trying to break into the lot where his car was being held.

The other day, he was arrested for burglary in San Clemente, California. He also faces charges of assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest.

All of his legal issues probably spell the end of his NFL career. He was released by the Lions in February and signed by the St Louis Rams. Now, he is without a team and no future in the league.
