The Pats traded OL Marcus Cannon to the Texans in a move that appeared to flip each other's picks in the 4th, 5th and 6th round in this year's draft.
His $6.2 million salary cap hit, along with some promising young talent on the line made him expendable.
Texans GM Nick Casserio was very familiar with him during his time with the Pats.
