The Indianapolis Colts announced the signing of QB Andrew Luck to the richest contract in NFL history. They should have mentioned that they will regret doing this because of the salary cap implications.

Luck got a 6 year/$140 million deal, with $87 million guaranteed. That is too much to commit to one player. Like most deals, he will never see all of this money. NFL contracts are a charade when it comes to the guaranteed cash.
