Pricing Himself Out

Pats RB Shane Vereen is said to be looking to earn $5 million next season. That appears to be the starting point for his negotiation if he becomes a free agent.

If that's the case, the Pats will move on without him. They know they can find a running back in the draft or an undrafted free agent. They did it before and should be able to find someone to replace Vereen with the same set of skills.
