Rex Ryan is angry at his former defensive coordinator Mike Pettine about a claim that he gave copies of the defensive playbook to people like Nick Saban. There is an insinuation that the Alabama coach could have given a copy to Coach Belichick because of their close relationship going back to Bill's head coaching days with the Cleveland Browns. Rex came out defending BB and praising his greatness.

 Pettine was a former high school coach that he mentored while on the Ravens staff. He was eventually hired and worked under Rex when he was defensive coordinator.
