LaDainlian Tomlinson

Former Chargers RB LaDainlian Tomlinson signed a one day contract with his original team so that he could retire as a member of it. He wrapped up an 11 year career that saw him finish as the NFL's 5th all-time regular season rusher with 13,684 yards. He also finished third with 162 regular season TD's

His resume gets more impressive when it comes to the numbers. They are very daunting. He was able to carry the ball effectively on all four downs. He was dangerous as a receiver. His statistics will allow him to gain entry into the Hall of Fame on the first ballot, but will that happen?

Tomlinson never won a championship. He had his chances in playoff games, but his team could never put it together. Will he get punished for it? It could hurt him for a first ballot election, but he will eventually get selected.

He is a great example of a player who performed at a Pro Bowl level with great numbers, but was never able to play in the Super Bowl.
