Michael's Open Story

We always hear about the high regard that Coach Belichick has for the SEC. Many of their players get drafted and make their respective teams.

It will be interesting to see what happens to Michael Sam of Missouri, the SEC defensive player of the year. He has admitted to being gay. Will it effect his standing in the draft? He was considered to be a 3rd round pick. Will teams shy away from him?

Pats owner Robert Kraft said he would be welcomed on his team. No matter what, it will be a big step to select the first openly gay player. He has great pass rushing skills. That's something the Pats could use.

It should be quite a story as we move forward to the draft.
