Under The Influence
Many surveys end up with dubious results. Forbes magazine just proclaimed former Jets QB Tim Tebow as the most influential athlete. How did they arrive at this conclusion? Apparently, 29% of the survey respondents considered Tebow to be influential. Now that he has been released by the Jets, I wonder if they feel the same way. He finished ahead of swimmer Michael Phelps, sprinter Usain Bolt and Derek Jeter.
I don't think these surveys prove anything, especially when first place is only 29%. That's like saying 71% don't think he is influential.
