A Story Resurfaces

When a lawsuit is filed, numerous allegations surface. Eventually, they can take a life of their own, especially is they are stirred by the media.

The former security director for the New Orleans Saints has filed a lawsuit accusing the team of covering up the theft of prescription pain pills from the team's drug locker. A "senior staff member" is accused of stealing Vicodin while another was given enough to constitute abuse.

Head Coach Sean Payton was not named in the court papers and has denied any wrongdoing. The story first surfaced a few months ago and appeared to be dying. Assuming the suits goes forward, Peyton and other team officials will be forced to give depositions under oath.

The team's best hope is that the case is settled out of court.
