Post Game Thoughts

A few thoughts from the Pats 27-25 win over the Eagles.

Brady looked real sharp completeing 10/15 passes for 100 yards, 2 TD's and one interception.

Both of his TD passes, thrown from the shotgun in the first half, were to TE Chris Baker. Brady's first completion was to rookie WR Julien Edelman. Brady played until the final minutes of the first half before being relieved by Andrew Walter.

Edleman had a stellar game, leading receivers with 5 catches for 37 yards. He also ran back a punt for 75 yards after great coverage by rookie CB Darius Butler. Edeleman also made the game's opening tackle on special teams. He had a considerable amount of playing time as the coaching staff is trying to see why he should not be on the team.

It was interesting to note that the Pats played primarily a 4/3 defensive scheme. Coach Belichich has been using this in practice and seems willing to use it during the season, depending upon the personnel situation of the game.
