San Francisco 49er's head coach Jim Tomsula never got a chance for a second season with his team after posting a record of 5-11. Ownership fired him after their last game.

We can't feel bad for him. The team announced that they will pay him the remainder of his 4 year/$14 million contract whether or not he pursues another job. His future plans are uncertain, but he has a good chance for lifetime financial security if he manages the money well.
