Don't Cut The Captain

There was speculation that Pats OL Dan Connolly would become a salary cap casualty because of his high number. He survived training camp. If he stay on the roster for the Dolphins game on Sunday, his salary will be guaranteed for the season.

He was elected a team captain, along with Tom Brady, Matthew Slater, Jerod Mayo, Vince Wilfork and Devon McCourty. It would be awkward if the team cut him at this point, but nothing would surprise me.
