Moving Some Merchandise

The Pats made a brilliant move when they announced the return policy for Aaron Hernandez shirts bought at the Pro Shop or on-line. The shirt must have cost over $100 and returned to the store this weekend.

As of 5pm today, over 1,200 shirts were returned for something of equal value. While people were in the store, they might have purchased more items. They might have walked around Patriot Place and spent money in the stores and restaurants.

Retail is all about foot traffic and moving merchandise. You can't sell if you don't have customers. It's a slow time of the year at the pro Shop before training camp.

Considering what the team paid for the shirt wholesale, they didn't lose a penny today. They made money.
