All-American Hype.

I don't follow college football that much. It's hard enough to keep up with the NFL. When the All-American teams were named this week, I didn't recognize too many players. Alabama had six on the first three teams. They will probably all get drafted in the spring.

The NFL Scouting Combine often gives me the greatest exposure to the college players. Being All-American doesn't guarantee success in the NFL. It might get the players selected earlier, but it doesn't mean that much.

There will be players in the league next year who didn't get drafted or invited to the Scouting Combine. It happens every year.
