The Days of Vince

When Vince Wilfork signed with the Houston Texans, he knew that he would be cashing some good paychecks. At this point in his career, he was looking for a final payday.

He got that, but ended up with a team in a downward spiral. The Texans are 2-5 and just released QB Ryan Mallet after he missed a team charter flight to the Dolphins game last week.

Wilfork felt comfortable with Coach Bill O'Brien from his days with the Pats. Will O'Brien be there next year after he wanted to release Mallet, but was overruled by the GM?

Every coach wants to have his own guys. It doesn't look like that in Houston.
