The Ultimate Leap

CB Byron Jones of UConn had the athletic moment of his career during his broad jump attempt at the NFL Scouting Combine. His leap of 12'3" shattered the Combine record by eight inches and also broke the world record.

He had a great career at UConn where he was a four year starter at cornerback and safety. He declined to run the 40yd dash because he was coming off of shoulder surgery.

His jump turned a lot of heads, but how does this relate to success in the NFL? Did it help his draft stock?

If he never makes it in the NFL, he will always have this bright shining moment that will be talked about for years.
